Dear Valued ASPRI Members,

SAF DAY COMBINED REDEDICATION CEREMONY FOR WEST ZONE

Every company knows why it is vital to support National Service (NS) and its employees who are NSmen. On behalf of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), we would like to inform you that we will be hosting the SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony (CRC) for companies operating from the West Zone on Friday, 30 June 2017.

The CRC was introduced in 1987 to give employers an opportunity to pledge support for Total Defence. The CRC serves to heighten awareness and/or remind all employees of your company to give their fullest support and commitment to National Defence. At the same time, it gives employers the opportunity to recognise your employees’ contributions to the security, survival and independence of Singapore.

As we are celebrating 50 years of National Service, we encourage all participating companies to be accredited with NS Mark during the ceremony too.

The NS Mark is a national-level accreditation scheme that recognises businesses and organisations with policies and human resource practices in place that support NS and our NSmen. It aims to encourage businesses to adopt a more NS-friendly workplace culture, which helps our NSmen to fulfil their NS obligations, while balancing their work and family commitments.

Participation is simple – you would just need to send a group of employees comprising both civilian and National Servicemen (NSmen) to the ceremony and appoint a key representative to sign the Declaration of Support to NS Mark at the event. Registration is complimentary and kindly indicate “A Member of ASPRI” beside your company’s name.

In appreciation of your support, the Officiating Minister, Mr. Lim Hng Kiang (Minister for Trade and Industry – Trade) will present a certificate of appreciation to each and every participating company at the ceremony.
