7th Lunar Month Celebration 2017
On Friday, 8 September 2017, ASPRI held its 20th Lunar Month Celebration. Notwithstanding the scorching blaze from the sun, more members gathered at ASPRI Integrated Training Centre (AITC) to pray for the Industry’s safety and prosperity this year.
With increase of more than 10%, over 500 pax gathered together at the conducive Safra Jurong for the auction dinner instead of non air-conditioned venues such as Jurong Pier Carpark C and Terusan Recreation Centre (TRC).
Despite industry slowdown, sense of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was still strong in the hearts of many ASPRI members. Total amount raised for charity broke record and summed up to almost $55,000. This includes over $20,000 to Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) and these bidders were Aedge Holdings Pte Ltd, Cyclect Electrical Engineering Pte Ltd, Shing Leck Engineering Service Pte Ltd and Vac-Tech Engineering Pte Ltd KDF Ambassador cum MediaCorp ArtisteMr. Chen Tian Wen was so thankful that he sang a song for the guests.
Other philanthropic bidder was HSL Constructor Pte Ltd, company of ASPRI President who successfully bidded $10,000 as contribution to the Pioneer CCC Community Development & Welfare Fund.
The highest bidded amount was $13,888 by Mr. Sam Ho, Managing Director of Vac-Tech Engineering Pte Ltd as contribution to Taman Jurong CCC Community Development & Welfare Fund. Another big thumbs-up for Centurion-Lian Beng (Papan) Pte Ltd ASPRI Dormitory Partner, for topping up another $10,000 generously as their contribution to the Taman Jurong CCC Community & Welfare Fund in appreciation to Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister for accepting ASPRI’s invitation to grace the official opening ceremony of ASPRI-Westlite Dormitory – Papan and ASPRI Integrated Training Centre (AITC).
In commemorating ASPRI’s 20th Anniversary, exciting programmes including the Acrobatic and singing performances won more praises from members and guests from ASPRI’s partners such as IE Singapore, JTC Corporation, Shell Singapore and Singapore Refining Company (SRC) representatives who testified that ASPRI, once again, connected and engaged the industry stakeholders in an enjoyable manner.
