ASPRI 7th Lunar Month Celebration

The association celebrated 22 years of tradition since establishment at its 7th Lunar Month Celebration on 23rd August 2019, Friday. This year saw the raising of $67,888 for beneficiaries – Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF), Pioneer and Taman Jurong CCC Community Development & Welfare Funds.
In the morning, members gathered at the ASPRI Integrated Training Centre (AITC) to pray for the Industry’s safety and prosperity. It also served as an opportunity for attendees to explore potential business opportunities through strengthening of friendship and building trust over a scrumptious spread of vegetarian buffet.
The evening festivities begun at Joy Garden Restaurant in Jurong SAFRA with close to 500 members present. Dignitaries who graced the occasion included Mr. Cedric Foo, Member of Parliament, Pioneer Single Member Constituency as the Guest of Honour. With a line-up of duets, dance and bountiful gourmet dinner in store, it was certainly a night to remember.
The energy in the room turned electric when presented with the charity auction. Members engaged in friendly bidding wars on the auction items that included an array of Auspicious Oranges signifying wish of prosperity upon the recipient and the Singapore Bicentennial $20 commemorative notes depicting the nation’s long journey to becoming a vibrant city.
Notable contributors of the night included HSL Constructor Pte Ltd, which is also headed by ASPRI’s President Charles Quek, with a generous amount of $4,000 towards Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF). This amount was topped up with $4,000 by Mr. Roger Chia from Rotary Engineering Pte Ltd. The segment was led by KDF ambassador, the seasoned actor and ‘Mr Unbelievable’ Chen Tian Wen.
Mr. James Ng from U&P Pte Ltd successfully bidded for an item that amounted to $14,888 for the Pioneer CCC Community Development and Welfare Fund.
The first top bid of $15,000 came from Mr. Lui Kam Keong, Director of K&L Project Pte Ltd as contribution to the Taman Jurong CCC Community Development and Welfare Fund. This amount was topped up with $15,000 by Mr. Roger Chia once again and another $15,000 by Mr. Kelvin Teo from Centurion Corporation Limited.
In addition to the general membership, who donated their time during the morning and evening, ASPRI gratefully acknowledges those who have contributed to our 7th Lunar Month Celebration auction dinner.
