Over $50,000 raised at ASPRI’s 7th Month Dinner 2014 for Charity
The 7th Lunar Month dinner, which has become tradition at ASPRI, is not only an opportunity for members in the industry to get together to pray for continued business success and good health, but also for the industry and workplace safety. It has become a platform for our Association to raise funds for the less fortunate and needy.
The prayers commenced in the morning, culminating with a big dinner gathering in the evening.
At the 17th edition of the annual dinner held at Carpark C, Jurong Pier Road on 15th August 2014, a total of over S$50,000 was raised from various members through the traditional auction of various auspicious items. Beneficiaries including Bo Tien Home for the Aged, Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF), Pioneer Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC) and Taman Jurong CCC.
Almost 650 participants from 61 member companies enjoyed the dinner and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances.
The Guest-of-Honour at the dinner was Mr Cedric Foo Chee Keng, Member of Parliament for Pioneer Constituency. Invited guests from various government agencies, process plant owners and grassroots leaders also joined the joyous of the occasion.
