On the 5th of April 2012, ASPRI held an Exclusive Dialogue for its members. Government agency representatives from the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), as well as the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) were invited to present on the latest revisions on Manpower Policies, Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) Scheme and grants introduced from the Singapore Budget 2012. Presenters were Mr. Kelvin Lee from MOF (Deputy Director, Strategic Finance Transformation), Ms. Lim Jialing from MOM (Asst. Manager, Customer Experience , Planning & Strategy Dept) and Ms. Audrey Yue from IRAS (Snr. Tax Officer) respectively.
Held at the Singapore Polytechnic Guild House, members had an informative session learning more about the incentives available for training as well as automation for their companies’ operations.
A panel was present to answer questions which attendees had, consisting of Mrs. Penny Han and Mr. Silas Sng (MOM), Mr. Anthony Han (IRAS) as well as Mr. Puah Kok Keong (MOF). On top of that, the ASPRI Council members were present, and the president Mr. James Goh encouraged members to be forthcoming in voicing concerns and questions arising from manpower issues and other areas of business.
