|On 19 July 2013 (Friday), ASPRI had its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2013 at the Compass Ballroom of the Raffles Marina with a turnout of 75 representative from 57 member companies.
Mr. Lim Jit Say, Executive Director commenced the meeting with a welcome note followed by Mr. Charles Quek, ASPRI’s President’s opening speech. It was a significant one for Mr. Quek as he presented his first report card as ASPRI’s President. ASPRI’s initiatives/activities/events for the past one year were presented with updates on the upcoming ones.
During the engaging Q&A Session, ASPRI 9th Executive Council (EC) convened an open dialogue with its fellow members, encouraging them to join ASPRI’s various committees so that there would be stronger concerted effort to address industry’s issues and develop productivity improvement and innovation initiatives for industry upgrading.
Last but not least, Mr. Lim presented the Long Service Awards to Mr. Charles Quek, President, Mr. James Goh, Immediate Past President, and Mr. Loh Lock Mun, Assistant Secretary for dedicating over a decade of service to ASPRI. Mr. Lee Yeow Chay, Senior Manager, Industry Development also received a watch for his 5-year long service award from Mr. Quek. There were some mixed feelings of joy and sadness as Mr Lim’s resignation from the Association was also announced by Mr. Quek who also thanked Mr. Lim for his dedication to the Association for the past 9 years.
