COVID Safe-Restart for PCM Sector

COVID Safe-Restart for PCM Sector

1 June | Monday

In collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and JTC Corporation, ASPRI coordinated a webinar on the Safe Management Measures (SMM) for the Process Construction and Maintenance (PCM) sector on 1 June 2020. A total of 327 attendees from 203 member companies attended the webinar.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government advisories constantly changed which made it difficult for businesses and citizens to be cognizant of the latest developments. The webinar aimed to address the concerns and questions harbored by ASPRI members during the arduous first half of 2020.

Mr. Wayne Yap, Executive Director of ASPRI, initiated the webinar by establishing an overview of the then COVID-19 situation – what its impacts to ASPRI members were, and how ASPRI responded to it. Subsequently, he, together with Mr. Cristopher Koh of MOM, provided further information on the various elements that were necessary for a safe restart of the PCM sector. Lastly, attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session where representatives from MOM, ESG and JTC contributed their insights. ASPRI's Secretariat Team consolidated the questions into a FAQ and shared it with everyone after the webinar for the members' ease of reference. You may view it here.

ASPRI would like to thank our valued members and the Government agencies involved for the overwhelming support and turnout.
