As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on 15 June, most businesses and services would reopen from 19 June onwards. ASPRI would like to remind members of the following information in preparation for 19 June.
1/3: Download and Activate Latest Version of TraceTogether Mobile App
On 27 May 2020, it was announced that the following groups of migrant workers will be required to download, activate, and maintain the latest version of the TraceTogether mobile app (latest version available since 4 June) to facilitate contact tracing, should there be an infection:
Workers staying in all dormitories (i.e. purpose-built dormitories, factory-converted dormitories, construction temporary quarters and temporary occupation licence quarters)
Work Permit and S-Pass holders who work in the Construction, Marine and Process (CMP) sectors.
In addition, the Safe Management Measures for the Process sector encourages all employees to download and activate the TraceTogether app. This is a final reminder for Work Permit and S-Pass holders in the Marine & Process sectors to download and register TraceTogether using their FINs by 19 June, 5.00pm.
Note:
- From 20 June, the downloading and registration of TraceTogether will be one of the criteria your worker has to fulfil to achieve a daily “Green” AccessCode on SGWorkPass to exit his dormitory for work.
- According to MOM, from 20 June 2020 onwards, AccessCode and SGWorkPass will be programmed to check that all Work Permit and S-Pass holders in the Marine & Process sectors download and activate the TraceTogether app. This could eventually be extended to Employment pass holders as well.
2/3: Implementation of SafeEntry with Checks specifically for the Marine and Process Sectors
SafeEntry with checks specifically for the Marine & Process sectors is available to ensure that your entry checks incorporate sector-specific requirements such as the fulfillment of regular swabbing requirements, and use of TraceTogether.

3/3: Changes to Border Measures
From 17 June 2020, 2359 hours, all travellers entering Singapore will be subject to a testing regime. More details on Singapore’s measures for inbound travellers in relation to COVID-19 can be found here.
All inbound and outbound travellers who enter Singapore from 17 June 2020, 2359 hours, and leave Singapore from 17 June 2020, 2359 hours, respectively, will be required to pay for their COVID-19 tests, where applicable. In addition, incoming travellers who are not Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents, who enter Singapore from 17 June 2020, 2359 hours, will be required to pay for their stay at dedicated SHN facilities, where applicable.
All Singaporeans and residents of Singapore are still advised to defer all travel abroad. However, essential business and official travel will be permitted under Green/ Fast Lane arrangements.
