Shaping a Culture of Good RoadSense with Heavy Vehicle Community

When heavy vehicles are involved in an accident, the damage is greater, and more lives are potentially at risk. The number of accidents involving heavy vehicles rose to 877 in 2015, up from 839 the previous year.

As owners and employers of heavy vehicle fleets, you can do your part to ensure the safety of your drivers and other road users. For instance, send your driver for relevant training and ensure he/she is properly briefed and competent to drive the specific type of vehicle assigned, encourage safe driving habits, and review any organisation practice that may give rise to risks on the road.
